"When I was first introduced to Colin i could tell this was NOT going to be your normal wedding videographer. The guys’ got style! From the get go he was very professional with his appearance and manners. Colin made being taped fun. He didnt make it uncomfortable or staged at all. At times you’ll think to yourself, “why is he having us do this?” Trust me, it all works out in the end! When my wife and i got our wedding video we popped it in the DVD player right away. From the first frame to the last we were extremely impressed! I thought i was actually watching a REAL movie! The shots, angles, music, lighting, etc… were AMAZING! I was very impressed on how he used the music we picked to incorporate in the video. I see Colin doing verg BIG things someday. He truly has an eye for amazing details and different perspectives on filming! I will gladly tell everyone asking about a “cinematographer” to call Colin. He truly has an amazing talent and gift! Trust me; YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!! Thank you Colin!"

"Colin did an amazing job of staying in contact with us about where, when and how. He and his lovely partner were unique in their approach to filming, which made for a WONDERFUL video, which we have watched over and over and over! The only thing that I would have done differently is to make sure he knew who I really wanted to make sure to have in the video, like family members or those family friends who made a special trip to be there. That was our fault, not his!"

"Colin has an amazing talent not only in editing but in his leadership and character during the filming. As the groom, I really enjoyed having him around to capture all the little details of the wedding day. He had fantastic ideas that were creative and artistic that amaze me as I watch the completed product over and over. He had great communication before and after the wedding day and completed the video very quickly. I know that one time he edited someone’s wedding video during the same day and showed it at the reception and it was still incredible. All of his equipment is top notch and extremely high quality. He even sold us all of the raw footage so that we can do our own amateur editing and we were able to get over 200 photos from freeze frames. The quality was still really great. I am so very glad that my wife and I chose to have him work with us. He is skilled at what he does, no doubt about it."

"We chose to have Colin Cabalka film our wedding day and we did not regret it! He was great to work with both before, during and after the wedding. We were able to talk with him before the big day and give him a feel for what our style was like and what we specifically wanted to be captured. When the day came, he was awesome! He was able to capture so many precious moments for us and was fun to work with as well, making filming seem so easy. Colin kept in touch with us after the wedding and got our film back to us in a timely manner. It was amazing! I love the video so much that I watch it just about every day. He captured everyone’s emotions and feelings so well. Now we will have that to watch and remember forever. He also sold us all of his extra footage so that we could have it to make our own videos or to take pictures out of. My husband and I had a blast going through it all and listening to all the funny little conversations and moments throughout the day. We also got some great pictures from it! The video itself was excellent quality and I am so glad that we chose to go with Colin. He was great to work with and gave us something we will treasure forever."

"I’m a filmmaker myself, so when it came to finding someone to shoot my wedding I had very high standards. When I saw the wedding films Colin was capable of, I knew not only would the video be beautiful, but I knew I wouldn’t have anything at all to worry about the day of in terms of making sure certain things were captured. He gets EVERYTHING you would want to watch again and again and delivers a piece of art that exactly captures the essence of your day. His skills, equipment, and methods are top of the line, and each finished product is as unique and stylish as the happy couple."

{ breanne & andrew | may 8 } a fresh way to start
Breanne & Andrew // Same Night Edit from Colin Cabalka on Vimeo
Breanne Cross & Andrew Buenafe.
The first wedding of my summer season, and I would say it was a great way to begin.
I met Breanne back in 2006 while I was at training camp for a Royal Servants Missions trip. She was going to Nepal and I was going to China, and we became buds the week before we both left. Since then, we haven’t really stayed in touch but I did hear she was getting married and so we got to talking about shooting a wedding film.
So, I spent the whole day around Visalia, California and Victoria Gardens. (about 4 hours north of LA)
These two cats are ADORABLE, and were a blast to work with.
Smiling the whole day and always willing to repeat kisses, looks, and all sorts of candy treats, just so i could get another shot of them.
I loved the atmosphere of the wedding, and the location was nothing less than spectacular.
The whole party was friendly, talkative, and made for good break times when I needed to relax.
